Vienna, Austria Day 9 – 10.

•  13.August.2013

Vienna wasn’t in the original plan for this trip, but after realizing we would have more than enough time to explore Prague, we decided to change-up our route and take a day train to Vienna from Cesky. I’ve always heard such great things about Vienna and after falling so in love with Salzburg, I was thrilled at the chance to see another Austrian city. Vienna was exactly as I’d hoped : bustling and vibrant. The quick trek was well worth the effort as we randomly stumbled upon the most amazing film festival full of a robust amount of locals, and some of the most amazing street food I’ve ever had the good fortune of sampling. We also got a chance to stroll through the Naschmarkt food market the following morning, gaze up at the most gorgeous multi-colored panel stained glass windows in St. Stephen’s Cathedral, and try a tasty Viennese apple strudel over great life chat and a couple of cups of espresso…YUM!

I’m off to explore Stockholm on my last FULL day in Europe. I can’t believe I’ve almost been away from home for a month! I’m excited to have clean clothes, my own bed, and the comforts of home but I’m always left with a pang of sadness anytime I have to leave this area of the world. I feel at home in Europe in the most inspiring of ways and I’m so excited to share the rest of the photos from my adventures with you in the weeks to come! Thanks for following along on my journey and for all of your recommendations! I’ve tried many of them!

I stumbled upon that same film festival in Vienna last year! We enjoyed delicious Indian food and drinking beer out of real glasses (vs. the paper cups they usually give you here in the states).

I’m loving these posts. XO
