With the winter chill really setting in here in Seattle (did anyone else wish that dusting of frost this morning was a full-blown blizzard like I did?!), I figured it no better time to share mine and Coli’s cheery adventures this past summer along the Amalfi Coast. These posts have been a long time coming (the trip was nearly 8 months ago!) and seeing the images from our trip over the past few days brought back so many warm and nostalgic feelings. I miss my little sister Coli on a daily basis (she currently lives in Albuquerque, NM for school) and this trip was certainly one of the highlights of 2012. Amalfi was one of my favorite aspects of our trip, as we were finally engulfed in sun (all that rain in Paris got pretty old!), and the laid back Italian beach vibe was a welcome transition from the bustling cities we’d been in the two weeks prior.
Capri was just as we had imagined it…serene, beautiful, picturesque…nearly unimaginable – like something out of a fairytale. As we pulled up in the boat along the coastline of this jaw-dropping Italian island, it was hard to believe we were actually there. Being in a place as beautiful as Capri with someone you love so greatly is absolutely life-changing. One of those moments in life that reminds you how beautiful life really is.
Check out all of our Amalfi adventures in today’s earlier post (Sorrento & Capri here) and tomorrow’s post highlighting stunning Positano. More travel posts coming next week too!
