Adam and I spent this past weekend in Colorado, attending a wedding (congrats Traci & Mike! we are SO happy for you guys!) and spending time with family. I don’t know what it was about Denver on this particular trip, but I was reminded immensely of how much I love this city and how much I miss it in the summertime. The Platt River is flooded with bike riders and runners, the mountains are crisp and clear and the overall vibe is warm and energetic. There is nothing better than Colorado in the summer, and after four straight days of sunshine and happy gratitude walks with my loved ones, I’m headed back to Seattle today with a full heart.

In the midst of enjoying our time back in our hometown, I stumbled across some recipes around the web that had me with their fresh colors, perfect styling and fruit & herb ingredients. I know I’ll be attempting those lemon bars & mojitos as soon as I get back home – yum!!

I’ve never thought of Colorado as a great place to visit in the summer because I’ve never been, but you make it sound dreamy! All of those recipes sound pretty great.
