The moments I found most serene during my time at Serenbe were those just after dawn early morning walks to the farmhouse for breakfast. The dew still clings to the leaves; the air has that crisp wetness that reminds you to breathe and sigh a breath of relief & comfort; there is a piercing silence that reminds you of regrowth & and the earth below your feet; the light is nothing short of perfect as it warms the sleepy farm animals. My morning stroll took my breath away each and every morning, and I was left wishing I could make that walk every morning for the rest of my life.
Every morning we were offered the freshest farm-to-table goodness I’ve ever had. I thought I hated grits…NOPE…not anymore. Georgia grits are AMAZING! French toast on day 2, and that egg souffle the last day?!!! Uh…I’ve dreamt about that yum since the day I left! So, so, so good. I’m tempted to fly back just for the biscuits and jam too.
My solo morning walks to the farmhouse are moments I will forever cherish and remind me to appreciate this beautiful world we live in.
