ireland i love you.

I’ve been in Ireland for a little over a week now and I’m pretty certain I NEVER want to leave. I feel so at home here with many of the aspects of this beautiful place reminding me of our little neighborhood back home in Seattle. It doesn’t hurt that the brisk fall air is sweeping through the city, giving me that warm and cozy end of year feeling I love so much. Wool coats, boots and tights made their way out of my closet and into my suitcase for this trip and I couldn’t be happier about it. Wrapping myself in a cozy scarf and wearing new boots always bring back fond memories and are my favorite ways to ring in the new season. Ireland in the fall might possibly be my latest obsession.

I also feel SO blessed to have had the opportunity to see the expansive Irish countryside on this trip during Yvette & Sean’s wedding. The rich shades of green on our drive back to Dublin from Sligo made me feel as though I was living in a dream – Ireland is just so impressively beautiful and magical. I love everything about this place…the people, the way of life…but especially Jemma & James. They have been the best hosts anyone could ever ask for and I feel so lucky to call them friends. They both make me laugh hysterically and their love & support for one another is especially inspiring. I’ve loved getting to know them better on this trip and I can’t wait to come back again in October too! Thanks for having me you two!

Our little crew strolled a bit through Dublin on Sunday evening reinforcing my love for this place…it just has that certain something, something…you know?? This trip was also made extra special by sweet Sarah and Lou. Both photographers, but each so unique and talented in their own right. I enjoyed every moment of getting to know these two and having some other American peeps around made this trip especially fun. I hope I get the chance to seem them both again stateside really really soon…I’ll miss you guys!!

I’ll be heading back to the States early next week, but for now I’ll be spending my mornings working remotely and my afternoons strolling through Dublin. Planning some museum visits for tomorrow and looking forward to a relaxing week in the comforts of Jemma & James’ cozy Irish home.

I am incredibly jealous that you get to experience Ireland in the fall! I had the great joy of spending about three weeks there last summer. Bouncing around Galway, then Dublin…and I would love to live there someday. It speaks to you, the beauty there. Have a lovely trip!

How beautiful! Totally jealous – of you being in Ireland, the fall weather, you wearing boots, hanging out with a bunch of fabulous photographers – pretty much every piece of this post.

Can’t wait for more photos!
