A couple weekends back I had the pleasure of attending, styling and assisting in coordinating Lisa & David’s beautiful wedding in Cork, Ireland. It was so much fun getting to know this couple and their family & friends during an absolutely gorgeous weekend in Cork. I flew to Ireland to work alongside the wonderful Jemma, owner & designer at HipHip, as well as lovely film photographer Katie Stoops & immensely talented Geoff Boothby of Shark Pig. I cannot even begin to put into words the joy that comes while working alongside people you not only greatly admire, but consider friends after just a few short days of getting to know one another. These individuals are so intensely gifted and it was such a thrill to get to know each of them during Lisa & David’s wedding weekend. I have no doubt that the images and video coming from these fine folks will be nothing short of AMAZING! I’ll definitely share them as they become available.
One of the things I loved most about Lisa & David’s Irish wedding was their venue. Ballyvolane House quickly stole my heart, with its classic charm oozing from every nook and cranny of this gorgeous home and property. From the moment we pulled up, my jaw hung open in complete awe. I found myself wishing I could call Adam and tell him to pack our bags and pup because I’d found our forever residence. This place is that stunning…there is so much whimsical character everywhere you turn and being present for Lisa and David’s first look in the garden reminded me why I love weddings and working with couple’s so so much. Ballyvolane most certainly enhances not only the beauty of its couples, but also the love that they share.
I feel so blessed to have been involved in this glorious weekend and I can only hope I get another opportunity to visit this magical place again someday. A special thank you to Jemma, Katie, Dave & Geoff…thank you for being my family away from home on this lovely little journey and I hope to get the chance to work with you all again very very soon!
