When I started blogging over 3 years ago, I had to be convinced by my dear friend Emma to even start. I couldn’t imagine that anyone would care about what I had to say and I felt incredibly intimated by the idea of sharing my inner thoughts, dreams & passions with anyone who might be willing to follow along.

Over the past two years I’ve had an immense amount of change happen including launching an event design + styling business as well as a vintage rental company named scout. I’ve learned a ton along the way, but realized most that my blog has always been that place that made me feel grounded – always reminded me why I took a leap of faith into the world of creative direction, styling and design.

In my early 20′s I’d felt stifled; unsure & uncertain of who I was or what I was doing with my life. When I started blogging that all changed. My blog has transformed immensely over the past 3 years and this new re-launch makes me feel as though I’ve finally found that place, where I can freely and effortlessly blog about WHATEVER my heart desires. scout. is my resting place for all the things that I find inspiring & encourages me to live a happy & beautiful life.

My vintage rental business is an extension of this blog and the name “scout” has an immense amount of meaning for me. The definition of scout is to : make a search for someone or something in various places - in this case, as in definitely the case with this blog I’m doing just that…always on the hunt, the search, the prowl for a life that makes me feel whole and complete. In search for inspiration in ALL places (family, food, design, fashion, travel and anywhere else that might catch my eye).
