A Weekend Pop-UP.

•  29.May.2013

When I first decided to do a pop-up shop to celebrate the end of one chapter and the beginning of another, I don’t think either Adam or I ever could have imagined how well it would go. As I mentioned in a previous post I was initially nervous to transition my rental biz to an online shop for fear that I’d let people down or even miss this portion of my business. BUT if I ever needed reassurance that the decision to move forward with my brand was the right one at the right time, this weekend’s shop was definitely an indicator!

After packing and prepping all day Friday with Adam by my side, we opened our doors at 11am on Saturday in the beautiful Trophy Cupcakes party room (thanks for having us Trophy!) to a crowd of smiling faces. We did nearly 40 transactions in the first hour alone (YOWZA!) and by Saturday night we could barely bring ourselves to stay awake past 7pm! We were absolutely exhausted, but felt overwhelmingly productive, proud and elated by the response for the shop.

We spent Sunday’s shop hours a bit calmer, but were still completely thrilled by the turnout and friends who stopped by to say hello. I can’t remember the number of times I turned towards Adam with complete joy over the shop itself and his support with this new transition. From the beginning he has always been 100% supportive of all of my business decisions in relation to SCOUT, and his help, positive attitude & kindness this weekend were no different – SO grateful for him! Also, so thankful for my friends Andie, Asia and Teressa who all spent time either helping us set up, clean up or open the shop. The weekend would not have been the same without you ladies!! Thank you SO SO much! Also thank you to everyone who stopped by the shop this weekend and took a piece of SCOUT home with you – your enthusiasm for my collection made my day!

OH! And if you weren’t able to make it to our first pop-up shop this weekend – NO worries!! We still have lots of goodies available (a couple of large furniture pieces and quite a few home decor items), so if there was something in particular you are on the hunt for shoot me an email at hello@jennelliottblake.com and I’d be more than happy to let you know if we’ve still got it. And/or sit tight for my upcoming online shop later this fall! I’m planning on the shop being tightly curated around home goods (with lots of vintage finds!) particularly sourced during my trips abroad (think fun Parisian goodies, props and such!!). I’m super excited about this next chapter and am so thankful for everyone’s support and encouragement! Oh and for those of you who are local, we are hoping to do at least one more pop-up shop this year so stay tuned!

Jenn, your pop-up shop was dreamy (and styled oh so beautifully). Wish I could have been there in person (although I am sure Joe’s happy about the distance, haha)…thanks for sharing some pictures for those of us far away. Also, not sure how I missed it, but what exciting news about the online shop – can’t wait to see it develop!!! :) Joe would also be happy if I had the courage to sell my props…ha!
